Yeah, I know what you’re thinking, Chenoa, why would you go to an emo- freaked out rave fangbanger‘s party? I thought it was going to be that type of party too (Nothing wrong with broadening my horizons…hehe). In actuality, it was less intimating than I expected but, a great time all the same. Ball der Vampire in Heidelberg was a very cool costume party. Attendees ranged in costumes from traditional/ colonial style- vampires (think the movie Interview with a Vampire) to sexy vampires (Think True Blood cast). This event was held at the convention hall. It’s unfortunate that the venue changed a few years before as this party used to convene annually at Schloss Heidelberger (How cool that must have been). The convention center however, accommodates more people. There were several rooms, besides the main hall. At any given moment, there were 4 kick-ass bands playing in various rooms. This venue also had a club level. From 9 pm to the breaking of dawn, my fellow vamps and I rocked out. Definitely a great costume party.
