Hard to believe one of my FAVORITE bands has made here to Germany and these fellas gave an amazing concert as usual. The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble is a group of brothers from Chicago, collaboratively producing fusion brass/ funk jazz musical harmony. I first hear their sound in the subway station of NYC. I took the trip to Dortmund to see my boys at the Domicil. The town of Dortmund was a typical German town except; their city symbols were flying rhinos. Artistic Flying Rhino were visible all over the city. Not sure why this town adopted the flying rhino other then for artistic endeavors. Since the next day after the concert was a Sunday, few stores were opened. I did however, check out the Musuem fur Kunst und Kulturgeschichte and found a great brunch buffet at Alex gastro. My visit to Dortmund was pleasant and I am sure there is much more to discover had time permitted.
